A year and two months spent on the front line fighters of the 8th Ambulance Company. Today they were met with songs, embraces, awards, kind words by families, relatives, friends and officials.

Perhaps it was the most difficult to these guys (paramedics, drivers) to hold out. Because they had to clean battlefields, to rescue wounded soldiers and captives, pick up the pieces and collect the dead for their relatives could bury them.

They went through the most difficult moments of the war in Donbas – the battle for Ilovaysk, Pisky, etc.

The participants observed a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of those who will never return from the East.

80% of these men went to the ATO area as volunteers.

The authorities have promised to assist them to return to normal peaceful course of life.

Soldiers were greeted and awarded by the First Deputy Head of RSA Oleg Pruhlo and the chairman of Poltava Regional Council Petro Vorona.

“We never thought that we would have to fight. God save our children and grandchildren from the war and necessity to fight” – in particular, said Petro Vorona.
